Study in Sweden · with your family

Stop overspending on the UK. Move to Sweden — with your family.

The UK is crowded and costly. Sweden offers world-class, English-taught degrees, generous scholarships, good jobs, free schooling for your kids, and a route that lets you relocate with your spouse and children. You only pay the first tuition instalment to travel — the funds you show stay your own. LEAPSAIL puts you through the entire process, properly.

School fees and show money — kept separate

Costs in Sweden are counted in kronor (SEK). We split your tuition from the proof of funds you show for the visa — you only pay the first tuition instalment to travel, and the ‘show money’ stays your own.

67 500 kr
≈ ₦10,462,500

You pay a heavily-cut first instalment to secure your place and travel — not the full 270 000 kr. The balance is spread over 3 more payments, one every 6 months, while you study and already earn. A government scholarship removes tuition entirely.

About ₦20m for a single applicant — this is your own money shown for the visa. You are not paying it to anyone; it stays yours and covers your family's living once you arrive.

What you actually need to travel

You do not need the full programme cost to relocate. The money you actually spend to get your visa and travel is just your first tuition instalment, the residence-permit and visa fees, and (for one-year courses) health insurance. Your proof of funds is separate — your own money that you only show, and that stays yours.

Why Sweden

A smarter, family-friendly route to Europe

Everything you want from the UK — degrees, jobs, a future — without the crowding and the cost.

Move with your whole family

Sweden lets master’s students bring a spouse and children as dependants — they can live, and in many cases work and school, alongside you from day one.

Post-study work + easier PR than the UK

After you graduate Sweden grants a job-search residence permit, and the route to permanent residence (PR) for you and your family is clearer and less crowded than the UK.

Spend far less than the UK

The UK is crowded and expensive. Sweden offers world-class degrees, scholarships that cut tuition sharply, and a calmer, cheaper route for families.

Globally ranked, English-taught

Hundreds of master’s programmes are taught fully in English at universities recognised worldwide — no Swedish required to start.

An African family beginning a new life together in Sweden

Bring your family. Build your future together.

Sweden’s student route is one of the few that welcomes dependants from the start. Your spouse can join you and seek work, your children can attend school, and you study toward a degree and a long-term life in Europe — all at once.

  • Spouse and children join you as dependants
  • Free, high-quality public schooling for children
  • A clear path to work and permanent residence
Scholarships

Two ways to pay far less

Scholarships are the reason Sweden beats the UK on cost. There are two routes — and we help you target both.

Merit-based · tuition discount

University (school) scholarships

25% – 100% off tuition

Individual universities award tuition-reduction scholarships to strong international applicants. Many cover a quarter to the full tuition, applied directly to your fees.

  • Awarded on academic merit and your statement
  • Applied automatically once you accept admission
  • Available at Lund, KTH, Uppsala, Chalmers and more
Swedish Institute · full funding

Government scholarships

Full tuition + living stipend

The Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP) cover full tuition, a monthly living grant, insurance and travel — the most competitive and generous route.

  • Covers tuition in full plus a monthly stipend
  • Includes insurance and a one-off travel grant
  • Highly competitive — we position you to qualify
